"Going for Greatness in Goree"
Visioning Campaign

We young 'uns hear it all the time..."Let me tell you 'bout the good ole days."  Well after hearing about it long enough, we have a vision to make it happen.  Why not bring back the good ole days and make these new days even better than the old.  A blast of Goree's past looked like this...a skating rink, movie theater, domino hall, wooden sidewalks and tin awnings.  On this page we are dreaming BIG.  And we are expecting more than a few of these dreams to come true.

New Logo:  Gateway to Miller Creek
New Theme:  Western

Miller Creek Reservoir exit signs have been placed by Goree's off ramps on the new highway.

As motorists exit in Goree, we want them to see western style signs stating our new logo as seen above.  The base of these signs will be surrounded by Miller Creek rock.

A Goree blog and webpage are a reality, obviously.  We plan to utilize these modes of communication with residents, alumni, newcomers and vacationers to spark community growth.

The GGG Group is now a 501 C-3 non-profit organization so that opportunities for funding are possible.

We will be partnering with the Knox County Visioning Group in order that we may take part in county-wide efforts for economic development.
